Reclamebureau Mental Squint presents The Donut Principle | our way!
In September 2006 we had a presentation about Design Management for Design Vlaanderen (www.designvlaanderen.be). We were asked to present a case where the external designer (Mental Squint) works in close relationship with the customer. On this memorable day we presented our Donut Principle to the world : - ).
At the end of teh presentations we even offered REAL DONUTS to the crowd.

In a nutshell, our Donut Principle.
The product (thing to sell) is the dough. Fresh & tasty. High quality stuff. This is your part of the job and this is what we need to do our thing.
We provide the glazing. The exciting communication. It's the glazing on the donut that triggers the target, the user, the receiver. The sugar coating will help sales, it will tell the story. It's essential for the right consumer EXPERIENCE. And this is what we have been doing on a professional basis for more than ten years now. Sugar coating, chocolate or plain powder sugar. The coating provides the right taste for the right consumer
But where we really make a difference are THE SPRINKLES. They (the sprinkles) give the donut additional sparkle. "Une geule". Pardon my French. And this is our speciality. A donut is perfect with the right kind of topping. Better yet! The Sprinkles, these are the Squint, the mental squint.
